Concrete Dispatch Manager - RMX

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Concrete Dispatch Manager to lead our central dispatch team, overseeing the scheduling and delivery of ready-mix concrete.
This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Acting as the central liaison between customers, drivers, plant managers, and sales teams, you will ensure efficient, on-time deliveries while maintaining outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and delegate tasks to a team of dispatchers, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Order Management: Receive and process customer orders accurately, provide detailed instructions to drivers and address any order changes promptly.
  • Scheduling: Schedule mixer trucks efficiently to meet customer needs and optimize fleet performance.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers regarding orders, delivery status, and value-added product recommendations.
  • Coordination: Act as the central point of communication between drivers, plant managers, quality control, sales, and customers.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor daily dispatch activities to ensure deliveries are completed on time and operations run smoothly.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve delivery issues, driver challenges, or scheduling conflicts in real time while keeping management informed of critical changes.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Education:  HS diploma or GED required
Preferred Degree in Construction, Management, Business or related


Experience:
  • 3–5 years of concrete dispatch or related industry experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dispatching systems.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in map reading and providing accurate directions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays, based on delivery schedules, business, or customer needs.
