Human Resources Manager

Employment:
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all positions, review all applications/resumes, conduct interview process, and with area manager make hiring decisions to fill vacant positions.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation.
  • Coordinates training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and sexual harassment.
  • Review disciplinary action and employee disciplinary issues.
  • Reviews employee appeals through complaint procedure.
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Keeps records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Schedule employee training as needed.                       
Benefits:
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, and dental insurance, 401(k) plans, vacation, short- and long-term disability, workers compensation, and employee assistance.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation.
  • Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Compensation:
  • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
Policies and Procedures:
  • Administers various human resources policies and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Develops and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company.
  • Develops and maintains legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, COBRA, HIPPA, and Wage & Hour).
  • Monitors exposure and keeps management of changes in legal requirements and protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
Human Resource
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Maintain vacation schedules for all employees.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 
  • B.S. degree  or related field with emphasis in Human Resource Management.
  • Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Well-developed multi-functional administrative skills.
  • Strong management skills—principles and people.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as the Human Resource Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Professional in Human Resources certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management.
  • Ability to research and analyze various type of data information
  • Ability to make recommendation to effective resolve problems and issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Ability to get along and work with diverse personalities.
  • Possess tactful, mature, flexible, sound judgment and good reasoning abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
