Position: Process Attendant
Reports to: Production Supervisor

Shift: 12-hour rotating swing shift 7:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m. ET and 7:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m. ET
Location:  Branford, FL 
Must be 18 years old; Great entry level role

To succeed in this position, you will need:
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces, and lifting 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to drive and operate various equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, forklifts, bobcats, etc.
  • Basic mathematic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentage calculations).
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate extreme heat and cold temperatures.
  • Be able to walk comfortably < mile a day
  • Frequently will be required to climb staircases up to 170 feet in elevation
  • Constantly required to hear sounds and have clarity of near, far, and peripheral sight with depth perception
  • Regularly requires the use of both hands for grasping and fine manipulations for repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work rotating swing shifts including 12-hour shifts. 
What you'll be contributing:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines according to plant and MSHA regulations.
  • Maintains two-way radio communication at all times with the control room operator or supervisor.
  • Assists in sampling procedures.
  • Inspects and cleans weigh feeders to ensure accuracy.
  • Observes bag houses to guard against air contamination.
  • Walk through the preheater tower and look for air and material leaks, measure temperatures and look for normal operating conditions.
  • Walk through kiln and clinker cooler area looking for proper operations.
  • Walk through the finish mill circuit and inspect for equipment soundness, material leakage, air leaks, etc.
  • Makes a complete inspection of the plant at least once per shift:
  • Walk through the raw materials storage area and check for proper guarding, material flow, equipment soundness, etc.
  • Walk through raw mill grinding circuit and check for equipment soundness, material leaks, air leaks, etc.
  • Maintain company standards for workplace cleanliness and organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 

What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
